Concrete practice to achieve the expected goal: This part of the Toolbox emphasises the importance of a careful planning of land access and displacement strategy, resettlement stakeholder engagement plan, resource plan, displacement framework, and management plan. It also gives guidance on the adjustment of social and human rights risk analysis according to the context, and finally provides guidance on how to operationalise and implement the management plan, and how to monitor and evaluate the processes in place. There are templates with concrete guidelines to aid in development, planning and implementation phases.
Expected impact/goal of the practice: The aim of the practice is to help mining companies in planning, operationalising and implementing fair and sustainable solutions for communities suffering from land access, displacement and resettlement impacts.
