Challenge the practice is addressing: Stakeholder Engagement Plan is a tool that combines the three key factors of stakeholder engagement; 1) the Stakeholder Analysis, 2) identification and definition of objectives and priorities, and 3) definition of roles, actions and responsibilities. This tool gives detailed guidance on how to plan the approach and implementation as well as monitoring, evaluation and reporting activities for effective stakeholder engagement processes.

Concrete practice to achieve the expected goal: 3A Stakeholder Engagement, Task 4 – “Develop a Stakeholder Engagement Plan” is a tool that supports the planning of engagement activities by helping the user to define the objectives of their stakeholder engagement, it also guides the user to consider thoroughly what kind of activities are needed for each stakeholder group and plan the schedule for these activities to be carried out. The Plan is to be updated annually.

Expected impact/goal of the practice: The expected impact is to help companies to build mutually beneficial, functional and transparent relationships between the company and external stakeholders. A well-designed Stakeholder Engagement Plan supports relationship building activities and helps the user to crystallise the objectives and approach of their stakeholder engagement processes.
