Concrete practice to achieve the expected goal: To use RMI in conjunction with minerals policies. RMI is developed in the context of a complex web of sectoral mineral (and related) policies (economy, environment, water, fiscal, social, land-use, supply security, etc.) at both, national and international level.

Expected impact/goal of the practice: To develop a coherent and comprehensive minerals policy-making framework. The overall objective of MICA is the development of a Raw Materials Intelligence (RMI) platform that serves the end users’ needs for such intelligence. RMI is the basis for informed minerals policy development. The ultimate purpose of RMI is to inform policy making at the various levels of government. In order to be efficient and effective, both RMI and minerals policies have to tailored to each other.
